Fish, Fish, Fish oh and Netbook

Highlights from this week include:

♥ Thinking one of my platys was pregnant, then deciding it probably just had wind and imagining it zooming across the tank!

Pregnant2

It does look pretty fat though! ne? (quite a sinister looking danio in the background there!)

♥ finally catching knuckles flaring and looking at me at the same time! He's an angry fish here! When I have the room lights off and the tank light on he can see his reflection so he things another fish is there to take me away from him! aww

Flaring

♥ Getting some good pics of Dyson, including an elusive one of him eating!

and there is more to me than fish ... honest!!

♥ I bought myself a netbook! To give you an idea of size :) Its a Samsung NC110. Fantastic little machine, unfortunately it has windows installed for the moment but when wifi and usb drivers are developed I'll have a teeny tiny efficient osx netbook! Oh and it runs photoshop and illustrator!!

A New Style

I've restyled the femgeek blog with a new header and Ive had a quick rejig of some CSS, but really its still a boring default theme, but until either my laptop stops crashing when Im using firefox or our internet speeds up I can't face more than a few minor tweaks!

I thought I'd just clarify what femgeek.co.uk is, it is the blog of Hannah Nicholas, whose portfolio you can find at http://www.apricot13.org. This is where you will find me and all my updates! Not forgetting twitter of course! http://www.twitter.com/apricot_13

Setting up the 60l Tank

Thank you to Spike for the awesome 60l tank! It was obviously well used and of course well loved!

Here follows photos of me setting up the tank :)

All the gubbins that it came with. Light, gravel, medication, filters you name it!

Cleaning the filters and fake ornaments.

The empty tank cleaned and ready to be filled.

A dodgy looking bucket of sand!

Finally the tank filled and settling. Took 2 days for the sand to clear and only 3 water changes.
